Asfur Angelfish

The Asfur Angelfish, *Arusetta asfur*, is a stunning and highly desirable marine angelfish known for its vibrant coloration and graceful swimming. Its body is primarily a deep, rich blue, accented by a striking yellow band that runs vertically behind the eye and extends down the body. The caudal fin is a bright yellow, providing a beautiful contrast to the blue body.

A minimum tank size of 180 gallons is recommended for the Asfur Angelfish due to its potential size and active nature. This species is native to the Red Sea and requires a well-established aquarium with plenty of live rock for hiding and grazing. They are considered an advanced-level fish, requiring excellent water quality and a varied diet.

In the aquarium, the Asfur Angelfish will readily accept a diet of high-quality marine angelfish preparations, spirulina, mysis shrimp, and other meaty foods. Offering a diverse diet is crucial for maintaining their health and vibrant colors. They can reach a maximum size of around 12 inches in captivity. While generally peaceful with other fish, they can be territorial towards other angelfish and should be introduced carefully.
