Description

Also known as the Diamond-tail Fairy Wrasse, the Golden Rhomboidalis Wrasse is a rare gem found exclusively in the waters of the Marshall Islands. This stunning species is easily recognized by its golden body, electric blue head, and intricate maze-like markings along its flanks. Its distinctively shaped, diamond-like tail adds to its elegance and makes it a standout in any aquarium.

In the wild, this wrasse is typically found near the bottom among sandy and rubble zones of the reef. In captivity, it thrives in well-established tanks of 90 gallons or more, whether fish-only or reef setups. While reef-safe and peaceful toward corals and inverts, it is a known jumper—so a tightly sealed lid is a must. Providing shaded areas or low-light zones within the tank will also help mimic its natural habitat.

To support vibrant coloration and long-term health, feed a varied carnivorous diet that includes vitamin-enriched mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other finely chopped marine meats, along with high-quality pellets and flakes.
