Description

The Katherine’s Fairy Wrasse, *Cirrhilabrus katherinae*, is a vibrant and active addition to the reef aquarium. Reaching a maximum size of approximately 5 inches, this species is native to the Indo-Pacific region.

An intermediate level of care is recommended for the Katherine’s Fairy Wrasse. A minimum aquarium size of 50 gallons is suitable for a single specimen, with larger tanks preferred for housing multiple individuals or a male with a harem of females. A well-established reef aquarium with plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging is ideal. They are generally peaceful and can be kept with a variety of other non-aggressive marine fish.

In the aquarium, the Katherine’s Fairy Wrasse will readily accept a varied diet of high-quality marine flake food, pellet food, frozen mysis shrimp, and enriched brine shrimp. Offering a diverse diet will help maintain their vibrant colors and overall health. They are active swimmers and will spend their day darting in and out of the rockwork, adding a dynamic element to the aquarium.
