Description

The Singapore Angelfish, *Chaetodontoplus mesoleucus*, is a beautiful and moderately challenging angelfish species native to the Indo-Pacific region. Its striking appearance features a white body with a prominent black band running vertically through the eye and a yellow dorsal fin. This elegant coloration makes it a captivating addition to a marine aquarium.

A minimum tank size of 75 gallons is recommended for the Singapore Angelfish to provide ample swimming space and stable water parameters. They are considered an intermediate-level fish, requiring good water quality and a varied diet. While generally peaceful, they can become territorial, especially towards other angelfish or similarly shaped fish. Careful consideration should be given when selecting tank mates.

In the aquarium, the Singapore Angelfish will benefit from a diet of high-quality marine angelfish preparations, spirulina, mysis shrimp, and other meaty foods. Offering a diverse diet will help maintain their vibrant colors and overall health. They typically reach a maximum size of around 7 inches in captivity. Providing plenty of live rock with hiding places is essential for their well-being.
